2016 ACF National Show Committee
Hi Everyone
The revised schedule for 2016 ACF National is now available on our Show Schedule page. Being hosted by QFA in Brisbane on the weekend of 10th - 13th June. This weekend is not just a show but an opportunity to socialise with friends and fellow exhibitors at one of the social evenings, the Welcome Function and/or the Sunday after show dinner. The ACF judge's seminar is open to exhibitors and breeders to attend, with some very interesting topics which will be confirmed as soon as the topics have been finalised.
Due to concerns that several exhibitors had with regard to the vetting at this year’s National the committee has reviewed the vetting protocol and it will now be random in cage vetting with a vet available throughout most of the day should the need arise to consult with them. I have attached the amend schedule with the amendment.
Great Rosette sponsorship packages are also available and these are detailed on the last two pages of the schedule, an excellent way to promote your cattery to all in addition to the general public.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting Robbie Walker secretary@qfeline.com

With the changes to the Dog & Cat Act there will be a new obligation on owners to microchip their cat which will also include an obligation to keep the microchip details up to date on one of the databases that share information. The names of those Companies that share their information are:
The participating companies are:
· Central Animal Records
· Pet Register
· Australasian Animal Registry
· Petsafe.com.au
· HomeSafeID
· Global Micro Animal Registry
These companies operate a shared portal, called Pet Address. It is our understanding is that most councils, shelters and rescue groups will use Pet Address to search for the contact details linked to a lost pet’s microchip number. Some will check other databases.
See: http://www.petaddress.com.au/
If you have your cats & kittens microchipped please check which Registry has been used. It is a good idea that Breeders insist that they be the sesecondary contact.
