MAINE COON
The Maine Coon is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America and its name is from its native state of Maine. One of the largest of the domestic cats its appearance has been developed to cope with the temperature of its natural habitat, therefore the shaggy coat, the long tail to wrap around in, the size and strength have all been developed by nature. They are known as the "gentle giants", loyal to their family, independant and relaxed.
