Forest Cats can be found in the early tales of Norwegian folklore, where it is said that these cats were the family pets of the Vikings. The Norwegian Forest cat is an energetic personality and can be very demanding of attention. They are not recommended to be outdoors as they can become swift and effective hunters, even known to be able to scale a tree and walk back down head first! They do however, adapt to indoor life extremely well as long as toys and a good scratching pole is provided to keep them amused.
